Double Dog, Tuck your Tail!
Now the following post is probably going to piss some of the beersuckers off, but this is strictly my opinion. I picked one of the big dogs, Double Dog Pale Ale, from the Flying Dog Brewery the other day and was extremely disappointed. Now I am not one for a pale ale but I thought to myself, "Its Flying Dog, its got to be good." Boy was I wrong.
Flying Dog should be kicked across the backyard for this brew. It was god awful. I took two gulps and down the sink the rest of it went. I know, I know, Beerblogger told me all about the euphoria he experienced with this 11.5% ale. The only thing I felt was myself throw up in my mouth a little bit.
For those who want to try this Double Dog Shhh beer it comes in a four pack and is pretty reasonable in price. A nice dark amber color with an alcohol content of 11.5% and a real hoppy taste. If you are not a fan of pale ales, don't look this dog in the eyes. In my opinion Flying Dog needs to shave this dogs butt and teach him to walk backwards!

are you insane? Double dog
are you insane? Double dog Double Pale is the best bang for the bucks ever. Great taste and high octane. I guess if you cant run with the big dogs dont get off the porch.
This does seem to be one of
This does seem to be one of those love it or hate it beers. It's always fun to be present at the popping of someones double dog cherry. This beer has the special ability to cause those unsuspecting drinkers face to contort in strange and often humoruous ways... Usually followed closely by a steadyy stream of profanity and/or praise!
I for one, love the damn things.
This beer has to be ICE cold
This beer has to be ICE cold when you pop the top..It IS a hopppy monster,,and it is NOT for everyone...Warnings WERE announced to the faint....
This is NOT a beer to pound!! The monster inside should ONLY be unleashed under supervision..
Stay with the lower IBU's when planning on consuming more spews than a few..Try saying that three times--fast or slow..Then go drink a couple of Double Dogs and try to say the alphabet...That's the diff of 10.5%, what the DD is all about...

ok I understand that this
ok I understand that this beer is not for everyone. It has an IBU of eighty freakin five, look closely at the labels because most of the high IBU beers will have it on the bottle. If you are not a fan of a real hoppy beer try to stay under 40 IBU's. I think that this is one of the best beers ever, it has all the flavor plus. The tire bite has an IBU of 16.5 and is a great beer but to me a little tasteless. Of the lower IBU dogs I prefer the classic pale ale and it is 35 IBU's. I hate that you purchased a beer that you hated on my accord, but like I said this beer is not for everyone. Try the horn dog its 45 IBU's and pretty damn good, its a Barley Wine and 10.2 on the ABV.
