Beer Tasting Event (Hosted by Connect YP in Greenwood, SC)
The beersucker crew took beersucker.com on the road to a beer tasting in Greenwood, South Carolina. Damas and I had the opportunity to attend the event which was hosted by Connect YP, which is the young professionals division of the Chamber of Commerce in Greenwood. We were offered six different beers at the event, all which we had never tasted. Every beer was different from the rest and most were high in alcohol content. The beers were brought to the event by Aldo Morales of Advintage Distributing out of Charleston, SC.
We were fortunate enough to be able and film our review at the tasting, so this post is basically to inform you of the beers and that we do leave the studios. I'm going to give you a brief rundown of each beer we sampled and maybe if you lucky Damas will post the videos for you to see!!!!!
The first beer we tried was Stone Brewing Company's Arrogant Bastard which is a hopped up beer to say the least. I believe Damas had reviewed this beer for you already so I will move forward. (SEE VIDEO, I give a good look after I try it!!!)

Beer two was Victory Brewing Company Golden Monkey Tripel. This beer is fermented three times, hence the tripel in the beer name. It had a golden color and a wonderful taste in my opinion. (MY FAVORITE OF THE NIGHT!)

The third beer we tried was the Yeti Imperial Stout by Great Divide. This brew could be the epitome of the imperial stout. Really dark, coffee looking brew. Stout is the perfect name for this beer.

So we the fourth beer was not quite as stout and it was a dubbel. Allegash Dubbel which is fermented two times was our next beer we got to try. Don't remember too much about this beer, I guess you will have to watch the video.

For the fifth beer we had the distributor, Aldo, sit in with us and give us some insight on the Ommegang Farmhouse Saison Ale. I thought this was a really good brew. It was probably the lightest beer available that night.

Our last beer was Avery's Hog Heaven. This was a hoppy barley wine. Really high IBU on this beer, which proved to be true.

Like I stated earlier this post is strictly informative. The videos give the true reviews. The beersucker.com crew would like to extend its thanks to Connect YP for allowing us to come and film and post our reviews. We hope to hit the road some more and we look forward to attending more events...
