Commercial Description: Lagerhead larger, a crisp golden lager handcrafted according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516, is a clean yet complex and highly refreshing thirst quencher.

This is another of the singles run from Total Wine and More in Greenville South Carolina. I think these are contract brewed for this company (Charleston Brewing) and bottled in Greenville SC. The web site for them is not working so I am not sure even if they are still around.

Well here goes, hope this is not some old beer that has been on the shelf to long. It pours a golden deep yellow, with a nice white head which is hanging around nicely. The smell is mostly malts and bread with a hint of hops, typical lager smell. The taste is bitter sweet malts with just a dash of piney hops pretty well balanced. The mouth feel is so so, again a typical lager. The finish is smooth and pretty refreshing as they said.

Pack rating (enjoyability): Its ok for a lager, I would rather have a Miller High life for the money.
